Day 1 Marrakech

Arrival at Marrakech Menara airport, welcome by our local representative.

Day 2 Marrakech

A day to discover the city where the Berber and Arabian Nights fantasy is based on reality – magical Marrakech. While your half day tour takes in sights such as the Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Menara Gardens, souks and the medina, you will be blown away by what you see on the famous square of Jamaa El Fna, especially at night. While impeccably dressed chefs grill sausages and kebabs under the stars, musicians, snake charmers, monkey handlers, merchants, medicine men, preachers, storytellers, magicians, dancers and acrobats all perform in a wonderful blaze of humanity. Order a drink from a balcony seat in one of the square’s upstairs cafés, sit back and be amazed.

Day 3 Marrakech / Ouarzazate / Zagora

After breakfast you depart for Ouarzazate over the High Atlas Mountains through the Tichka Pass. Keep your eyes open for the Berber villages tucked away in the mountain side. In the afternoon, you will tour Aït Benhaddou, one of the world's most magnificent Kasbahs; this setting has been used for more films than any other location in Morocco. You will set off through the Draa Valley to Zagora, the edge of the Sahara Desert. You can choose to stay in a small hotel on the edge of the dunes or sleep in the Berber tents.

Day 4 Zagora/ Erfoud (280 km)

After an early breakfast, you will set out across the barren desert land in your 4 wheeled drive vehicles. You will experience the desolate vastness of the edge of the Sahara Desert. Upon arrival in Erfoud, take some time to relax and freshen up. In the evening, you will enjoy a camel trek in the dunes for the sunset. You will return to you hotel for the dinner. ***For those wishing for adventure, you may choose to sleep out at the dunes***

Day 5 Erfoud / Todra Gorges

After an early breakfast, the group will depart for the Todra Gorges. On the way you may stop for an exploration of this Berber village. The trip through the beautiful Amellago Valley will consist of some normal roads and some dirt tracks. You will continue through the picturesque Todra River Valley, which makes for a beautiful journey towards the final destination for today, the magnificent, colossal Todra Gorges (600 feet). Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 6 Todra Gorges / Ouarzazate

After breakfast, the group will depart for Ouarzazate along the road of 1000 kasbahs. On route, you will visit the beautiful Dades Valley and stop for lunch at Elkalaa of M'Gouna, the city of roses. After lunch you will visit the Kasbahs of Taourirt and Tifoulout, and then on to Ouarzazate. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 7 Ouarzazate / Marrakech

Your last day of travel will take you back to Marrakech, over the High Atlas Mountains.

Day 8 Marrakech

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for departure.
